There are many pros to using Weebly and I have found it to be fairly user friendly and like the way it easy to navigate through. I love the way the pages are arranged because it is extremely visual and I am a visual learner. Even though I am an overall fan of using Weebly in an education setting and using it for an ePortfolio there is one area that I don't like very much. It is a con for me that with the free version of Weebly you can only imbed videos from YouTube. That requires that you to first upload your video to youtube and then embed it from there. It isn't that big of a deal but it creates another step and I like simplicity.
This week we learned about creating an ePortfolio using Weebly. I have used Weebly quite a bit in the past in my role as an Ed Tech. However, I had never been trained by anyone on it, I had just learned through trial and error. It was actually nice to listen to someone else go through the process and see different ways to navigate and create my ePortfolio. It helped validate what I have already been doing and then taught me a few new ways to navigate Weebly and use the tools available. I already have a few Weebly sites created and therefore decided to create my ePortfolio on my Ed Tech Weebly. I think this is a great decision for me because then any teachers interested in what I'm learning about technology or interested in the endorsement will have a resource to look at if they choose.
